03 Bước Giúp Đạt Điểm Tối Đa Trong IELTS Speaking Part 1

1. Cấu trúc/ phương pháp trả lời câu hỏi " Yes/No questions" 

“ Yes/ No questions” là dạng câu hỏi phổ biến trong đề thi IELTS Speaking Part 1, rất nhiều thí sinh IELTS thường trả lời với cách đơn giản “ Yes” hoặc “ No”. Tuy nhiên, nếu các bạn sử dụng cách trả lời này vào bài thi NÓI IELTS thì rất khó để bạn đạt điểm tốt trong phần thi này. Do vậy, ở bài học này, IELTS Thư Đặng sẽ hướng dẫn các bạn trả lời dạng câu hỏi này một cách hiệu quả để đạt Band 7.0 hoặc cao hơn nhé.

Thật ra việc trả lời kiểu như “ yes hoặc no” không phải là sai, nhưng những câu trả lời này thường là ngữ pháp của bạn quá nghèo nàn, đơn điệu, thiếu những thông tin liên kết cần thiết.

Do vậy, để có được câu trả lời cho cả 2 dạng “ yes “ và “ no” tốt hơn, các bạn hãy sử dụng những cấu trúc chất lượng và hiệu quả sau đây:

Theo 2 bước trả lời “ Yes/ No questions” cực kỳ đơn giản:

Bước 1: Sử dụng opening phrase:

Trước khi trả lời câu hỏi, bạn nên quyết định xem bạn sẽ trả lời câu hỏi theo cấu trúc nào nhé.

• Well in actual fact, if I think about it, I guess that in many ways…
• OK, well in reality, I suppose that to some extent…
• Alright. I guess that on the one hand…
• Well certainly in some ways…

Bước 2: Phát triển ý ( develop your statement/ ideas using a linking structure)

• …especially when you consider that…
• …particularly if you think about the point that…
• …especially with regard to the point that…
• …and this is definitely the case with…

Hoặc bạn có thể sử dụng các cấu trúc câu sau cho câu trả lời “ No questions” bằng cách sử dụng 1 trong số linking phrases sau:

• But you also have to understand that…
• Even so, you could also say that…
• At the same time you could say that…

Hoặc nếu các bạn muốn nói kiểu neutral thì sử dụng mẫu sau ở cuối bài:

• So all in all I guess my answer would have to be yes and no.
• So on the whole I suppose the answer has to be yes and no.
• So all things considered I guess the answer is both yes and no.
• So in the main, I suppose the answer is probably yes and no.

2. Các dạng câu hỏi biến thể của “ Yes/ No questions” trong IELTS Speaking Part 1

Dạng 1: Dạng câu hỏi Preference

Do you prefer A or B?

• Personally, I prefer A to B/ If I were to chose between the two, I would go for the former/latter
• This is simply because/ There are several reasons why…
• Besides/ Moreover/ In addition/…
• In a word, I will go for A

Q: Where do young people like to live in? private house or flat?

A: It depends. For the young who can earn a fortune, they have a tendency to live in private house. However, for fresh graduates, flat would be their optimal choice.

Dạng 2:  Dạng câu hỏi “ Importance”

Is/Are A important?

• Yes, I always believe that A is essential and necessary for…
• Without (doing) A, we would +… | Let’s imagine, if …
• Besides,…: Supporting ideas.
• So, obviously, there is no doubt about the significance of A

Q:  Do you think that music is important?

A: yes, obviously, I always believe that music is important in my life, it touches our emotions. Judging by the fact that music is a powerful mean of communication. It has also help inspire me to keep working. Sometimes a certain lyric from a song may catch my attention and I begin to work effectively.

Dạng 3: Dạng câu hỏi về Popularity

What is/are… the most popular in your country?

• It depends
• For A, I believe that they have a fancy for…
• Yet/ However, for B, I guess they tend to like … including…. That’s probably because…

Q: What is the most popular sport in your country?

A: It depends. For the young, they are more in favour of ball games or dynamic sports such as volleyball, basketball, tennis. Yet, for the old/ the senior citizens, they are more into relaxing sports like jogging, yoga and meditation.

Dạng 4: Dạng câu hỏi về Differences

What are the differences between A and B?

Obviously, A and B have some certain differences/ Well, there are some obvious differences between A and B,

• Unlike A, B tends to…
• A is… while B is more likely to..
• Compared with A, B is less likely to…

Q: what is the difference between weather and climate?

A:  Well, weather reflects short-term conditions of the atmosphere while climate is the average daily weather for an extended period of time at a certain location.

Dạng 5: Dạng câu hỏi về Advantages & Disadvantages

• Well,.. is beneficial in a variety of ways.
• Firstly,… Besides,..
• However, when it comes to the drawbacks, I have to say that…

Q: What are some advantages of using technology?

A: From my perspective, there are numerous benefits of using cutting-edge technology. First, high-qualified devices enable people from different places to interact and communicate efficiently. On top of that, by using technology, all the tasks at the work place and study place are facilitated. For example, people can send and receive emails to their partners whenever they want. Last but not least, people have an instant unlimited resource to get information by just a click of mouse.

What are the changes…

• Generally speaking, people used to..
• However, nowadays, people tend to…

Q: Compared to a few decades ago, do you think in your country do more or less exercise?

A: In the olden days, living standard was not improved as nowadays, people had to earn their living and regarded sport as a form of exercise. Nowadays, people have a tendency to go to the gym to work out, keep themselves in good shape and show off themselves.
